Grill Stop

Had a craving for cheesesteak, quick search had a few places in the area and Grill Stop had the best reviews but I was not expecting to be impressed. This is a takeout place so placed my order in person and within 6-8 minutes my cheesesteak was ready. Cheesesteak, fries and a drink for $7.99, great deal. They also had several lunch combos available too for $6.99. The steak was flavorful, they mixed in some seasoned peppers, onions and mushrooms then topped with cheese. Bread was excellent, slightly toasted but soft inside. Fries were well seasoned and delicious. I have to say I was impressed with the quality, price and speed. This may become a regular stop. Constructive comments would be: Place could use a good cleaning, can visibly see lots of build up on phone, computer, floors and surfaces. Next, I suggest ditching the small grocery area that hasn’t been stocked in a while for a few tables and chairs so you can eat inside. Lastly I am not a fan of the generic sodas so I grabbed a water.

I hate this place! They are not accommodating at all. For instance, I wanted a chicken sandwich but did not want mayo-they said they can not put ketchup/mustard on the sandwich. Why not? I wanted to pay for an upgraded soda because I do not drink off brand products-they told me no I would have to pay full price even though my meal included a soda. I wanted to have a Gyro sandwich made using the chicken philly meat-again no. These were all on separate occasions. 3 strikes and you are out with me.

Cashier was very nice and communicative. I got a bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries and a drink for 11, which is an amazing price. The burger was very good. Very peppery and well seasoned. The fries were OK — I would have preferred them to be crispier, but might just be me! It was a ten minute wait, but they seemed to have a good amount of call ins. I also bought some of the cake, which wasn’t anything to write home about — it was kind of dry.
